The Little Bookcliffs area consists of over 36,000 acres just north of Grand Junction Colorado. The rugged and secluded landscape s home to the Little Bookcliff Wild Horse range as well as the Little Bookcliff Wilderness Study Area. There is ample opportunity for hiking, camping, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. There are three developed camp/picnic grounds within the Little Bookcliffs Wild Horse Range, North Soda Cabin & Spring is the farthest northwest facility, followed by Low Gap camp & spring in the middle and Monument Rock Spring is the most south east facility of the three. The wild horse range is located in a very rugged and secluded area, be very wary of the weather, the roads can become totally impassable during the summer rains and winter snow.
